People want to be able to play chords on their chosen instrument and aren't fully understanding why a chord can be played in multiple places. This is more understood in the guitar world as there are many places to play the same chord (Notes in a chord) in the same register. Sometimes we get caught up in a specific chord shape like a G major chord or another chord shape but there are multiple places to play the same chord on a guitar (picture below). So, why can you play the same chord with a different chord shape?
